88Plate Inc. (“we”, “us”) is a Canadian company based in Vancouver, BC. We build restaurant websites and online ordering systems. This policy explains how we handle your data.
From restaurant partners:
- Business name, address, phone number, email
- Menu information, photos, business hours
- Banking information for payment processing (handled by Stripe)
From website visitors:
- Basic analytics (page views, referrer) — via privacy-friendly analytics with no cookies
- Information you voluntarily provide through contact forms
From online ordering customers:
- Name, phone number, email, delivery address
- Order history and payment information (processed by Stripe)
Customer data collected through the 88Plate platform is accessible by both the restaurant partner and 88Plate for their respective business purposes.
- Restaurant partners may use customer data for fulfilling orders and communicating with their own customers
- 88Plate maintains and controls the platform database
- 88Plate may use anonymized, aggregate data for business analytics and platform improvement
- Neither party may sell customer data to third parties
Your menu content, original photos you provide, and your restaurant's brand remain your property.
Payment processing is handled by
Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We never store credit card numbers on our servers.
We retain your data for as long as you use our services. If you cancel:
- We will provide an export of your customer data upon request within thirty (30) days
- Restaurant-specific personal data will be deleted from our systems within thirty (30) days of export
- 88Plate retains anonymized, aggregate data (order volumes, trends, platform analytics) indefinitely
You can request to:
- See what data we have about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data
